Solve the puzzle by finding hidden words. Click and drag on the letters to spell the words. The letters need to be next to or near each other in order to make a word. You’ll need to think carefully about which words to enter first! As you clear out the shape, remaining tiles may fall out of reach forcing you to restart the level. HINT: Each puzzle has a theme. All of the words will relate to the puzzle's theme in some way. If you're stuck, look at the theme, and then look for related words in the grid! Word Surge TIPS & TRICKS Find first. Before you start selecting the first words you see, look over the puzzle and see if you can find all the words first. Unlike the typical word search puzzle, there is no list of hidden words, you need to use your vocabulary skills to spot the words you need to find! Take off the top. The words need to be found in just the right order to complete a level. Think about how the tiles may move, this will help you decide which word to highlight first. If you encounter a level where the tiles are stacked on top of each other, try to clear tiles on the top first to avoid them from falling and mixing up even more. Use the theme. Each puzzle has a theme that’s reflected in the shape of the tiles. This gives you a clue to the words you’re looking for. The shape of the puzzle may also give you a hint. For example, words hidden in a hash shape may mean the theme relates to numbers or social media. WHAT YOU LEARN FROM PLAYING Word Surge Word Surge players will have to first use their knowledge of each subject in order to find relevant words that fit the theme. This can help further spelling and vocabulary skills when playing. Players will also have to think strategically when deciding what order to clear the words in.
